Conservation

The importance of conservation has always been at the forefront for Wayne-DuPage Hunt.  Hunt volunteers help to support the Wayne Area Conservancy Foundation's (501(c)(3)) ongoing effort to preserve the open spaces of the Wayne area.  The Wayne Area Conservancy Foundation was founded over 20 years ago by Brooks McCormick, with the goal of preserving the Wayne heritage of equestrian activities and lifestyle.  Working very closely with the DuPage and Kane County Forest Preserves, the Conservancy has been able to increase the open space in and around the Wayne area.  The Conservancy has also helped to preserve some of the historic buildings that are so integral to the Wayne heritage.  With the help of volunteers and donations, they will continue to enhance the Wayne countryside with open space and preserve the natural resources for future generations to enjoy.
